Hello friends i am discussing a general issue which is generally with Microsoft windows XP SP3 users. Windows XP Sp3 user generally does not use the change their windows visual effect they can only use the default windows themes and effect. Actually windows XP Sp3 does not allowed any changes. But if you want to customize the looks you need to unlock the uxtheme.dll this file you can look up in C:/windows/system32. You can also replace this file with replacer application but while replacing the file you will face the error "the file is currently in use with another program" for this purpose you need to stop services of themes in windows you can stop them following method
Open Run >>> Type services.msc press Enter >>>>> Services will appear in a new box Scroll down this and select Themes >>>> Stop services of Themes
now try to replace uxtheme.dll file in c:/windows/system32 if you see that error still than you need to patch your windows files with Patcher this is very simple method just download Theme Patcher for XP Sp3 and run it. It will apply patch on uxtheme.dll automatically you have no need to do any thing manually.
