How to take screen shot of your desktop in Mac OSX.

This article is related to capturing screen in Mac OSX. This article is no longer updated on Apple. There are some short cut keys to capture screen in different areas.
Use following keys to take following action.
Command+Shift+3        By Pressing these keys you will able to capture entire screen.

Control+Command+Shift+3    Copy of entire screen instead of saving as.

Command+Shift+4      Create a picture file of a rectangular section of the screen. (After pressing and releasing the key combination, drag across the part of the screen you want to take a picture of.)

Control+Command+Shift+4      Create screen shot of selected clipboard with out saving it.

Each screen shot is saved in the PICT file format at the top (root) level of your hard drive directory and labeled as a sequence of number as 1,2 up to so on.

These commands compatible with Mac OSX 8.0, 9.0 and Mac OSX 10
